Can you explain if PVC leather contains formaldehyde?

Are some users concerned that PVC leather may contain formaldehyde? I need to explain it to everyone here.
The raw material of PVC leather (polyvinyl chloride) itself does not contain formaldehyde in its chemical structure, and pure polymers have no risk of formaldehyde release.
The source of formaldehyde is inferior additives. Poor quality auxiliary materials such as phthalate plasticizers and lead salt stabilizers used to improve flexibility, such as plasticizers/stabilizers, may contain formaldehyde. There may also be colorants/adhesives, low-cost dyes, or composite layer adhesives that introduce formaldehyde.
It should be noted that low-priced and low-quality products, exposure to high temperature environments (where poor quality plasticizers decompose and accelerate formaldehyde release at temperatures greater than 80 ℃), and long-term enclosed spaces (where insufficient ventilation can easily accumulate formaldehyde) can lead to formaldehyde release.
So PVC leather itself does not contain formaldehyde, but inferior additives may release formaldehyde. When choosing, low-priced inferior products should be avoided.
