What kind of leather is PU leather? Where is it used?

PU leather is a synthetic leather made of polyurethane resin, and nowadays bags and shoes all over the street rely on it to support the scene!
Compared with traditional PVC synthetic leather, PU leather does not rely on plasticizers to maintain softness, and over time it will not become hard or brittle. The surface texture is almost like real leather, and even pore patterns can be pressed out by machines. The most tough is high-end PU leather, such as microfiber leather, which is directly coated with ultra-fine fibers and then polyurethane. It has stronger wear resistance than genuine leather, and the training balls that football players step on under their feet are mostly made of this material.
The killer feature of PU leather is its environmental friendliness, especially water-based PU leather, which reduces volatile organic compound emissions by 70-80% compared to traditional processes during production. Now, BMW, Mercedes Benz and other car seat fabrics are using it in large quantities. But if you value the feel, ordinary PU leather is almost boring. It feels a bit plastic to the touch and is not as warm as genuine leather.
However, attention should be paid to the maintenance of PU leather. If it comes into contact with oil stains, it should be immediately wiped with warm water below 40 ℃ mixed with neutral detergent; Don’t leave it in the sun for too long, it will crack if exposed to too much sunlight. Especially for PU leather with printing, machine washing twice will cause color fading. Nowadays, even building decoration uses PU leather, which has a fire resistance rating of B1. Many of the carved walls in the hotel lobby are made of this material.
